LA Nursing School Offers New Online Classes

New, online nursing classes at a Louisiana college are making it much easier for students who want to earn a bachelors degree in nursing to obtain their goals through a distance learning program.

The new online nursing classes are being offered by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette through the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals for students who have already earned an associate’s degree and want to further their education with an accredited and national recognized nursing school.

The RN to BSN program is a new option for students and allows already registered nurses to take nursing classes on a flexible schedule and in a web-based format that is designed to make learning easier through online courses. The program offers RNs the ability to work on their advanced degree while holding down a job and tending to other obligations according to a report by the school.

The nursing school states that a student can be graduating from the college in about a year with their BSN degree from the University of Louisiana. The college’s excellent pass rate helps boost interest and confidence in the online program thanks to 26 consecutive years achieving pass rates around 95% to 97% from the nursing school’s students.

The BSN program is completely online, so all nursing classes are completed without ever needing to physically attend workshops at the college’s campus, which makes it easy for students to complete their degree program within 11 months in many cases.

Since the program is all online, the start dates for online classes through the college’s nursing school occur many times throughout the year. The online program commences in March, April, June, August, October, and January (2014). Application deadlines for entry into the BSN nursing school program are in February, March, May, July, September, and November.
